Sophie Angwin, acted for a Client who discovered in 2013, that her dentist had carried out a substandard root canal treatment and substandard crown placement to her LR6 tooth by failing to fill all of the canals and, despite knowledge this failure, by placing a permanent crown on the tooth.
After 18 months of pain and discomfort, J had the tooth extracted and had to attend a number of appointments to prepare for implant treatment. J then underwent an additional surgical procedure to have the implant abutment placed, followed by additional appointments to place the implant retained crown.
J received £6,500 in an out of court settlement for her pain, suffering and future treatment costs in having to replace her LR6 tooth.
