£20,000 awarded for undiagnosed periodontal disease

Rebecca Callard acted for a 68 year old man, who regularly attended his dentist for routine check ups between 1996 and 2011. Both of his treating dentists failed to diagnose, treat and monitor the progression of severe periodontal disease, despite being in the care of both his dentists for over 15 years.

It wasn’t until our client moved house and changed dental practices that he was told that he had periodontal disease. He has since been told that he will lose 18 of this teeth and will require extensive restorative treatment. We successfully obtained £20,000 to compensate our client for his injuries.
